Flashing Lights

One of the best things about touring is the people you meet along the way and the musical experiences you share with them. Walking into a new place can be weird, but if you know you have this one thing in common with everyone you are immediately comfortable. Erste Liga in Munich was the first stop on my last European tour. When I walked into the club I saw that my homegirl Paula of Pale was working the bar, then saw the dance floor pictured above and I knew it was gonna be a good night.  I DJed with two brothers that played mostly vinyl and killed it, playing everything from UK Funky to 2 Live Crew to Electro songs that I haven’t heard since I was 17 years old. Between Eurovision and football the city was partying like crazy and by the end of the night that beautiful dance floor was completely covered in broken glass. A few weeks after I got home one of the brothers, MAO-TSE TOM sent me this all vinyl mix that I am really feelin. I hope you like it as much as I do.
